Bloomy rind cheese with saffron
Italian muffin: flowery rind cheese made from whole cow's milk from the prized pastures of the Italian highlands, made with pasteurized milk and strictly artisan processing.
The "Venere Bianca" cheese plus the Saffron, presents itself with a white/gray flowered rind due to the development of Penicillium Candidum type molds which give the product an almost creamy underside and a tendency to a soft, delicate and full-bodied texture. richly enriched with saffron cultivated not far from our factory.
The invented name derives from the circular shape and from the color conferred by the molds in its full maturation, which make it similar to the Planet Venus enriched with "red gold", the Saffron.
